Position and number: Setter, #11
Strengths: Hotaru is a very good receiver and her great accuracy should be mentioned as well. She's able to toss the ball according to her team mates' preferences. She's a team player and tries to encourage her friends as much as possible. She likes to fool her opponents with dropping the ball over the net herself sometimes instead of tossing to her spikers.
Weaknesses: Due to her lacking power Hotaru is not very good at spiking thus her balls will be blocked regardless of how hard she tries. Hotaru also has troubles with serving the ball over the net but she puts alot of effort into improving that. She cannot jump all too high.

Hotaru is generally unfriendly towards strangers at first but tries to be polite to people older than her out of respect. Once she gets to know a person she opens up rather fast and is helpful in any way possible. That doesn't mean she can't be a dick to people she likes as well though. Once she befriends someone she's loyal and very attached to that person and she'll protect them by all means. That also includes her team mates for those she'd get into (verbal) fights with others when they try to belittle them and their abilities. Even though she's small she can put on a death glare which might scare off some people.

Hotaru would never hurt a person physically apart from her sometimes throwing a volleyball at people that pisses her off. She prefers not being the center of attention too much while playing because she tends to get nervous which results in her making mistakes. Hotaru is a really fast learner, even if it's mostly on topics she's interested in.

Biography: Hotaru was born and raised in Tôkyô and her parents are running sushi restaurants at several places. Because they're quite busy with that she spent most of her time with her older sister who is currently a university student. Her older sister is also playing in a volleyball club since junior high and is in position of being a wing spiker. Hotaru helped her with practice since she was little and was tossing one ball after another. This got her to like the sport as well and why she wanted to become a setter in the first place.

Like Hotaru helped her older sister practice she forces gets her younger twin sisters to help her out this family is full of females, her father is crying silently every night because he wanted to have at least one son.

Even though Hotaru has some experience being a setter because of her constant training with her older sister, she's still quite nervous when it comes to the real deal. She often had to sit out during tournaments. Hotaru's goal is to get control of her nervousness and getting better at being a setter.

Hotaru is a glutton, luckily though she doesn't gain much weight. Her favourite food is sushi, but there really isn't anything in particular that she dislikes. She is the sporty type and dresses accordingly. She's not the feminine type of girl, choosing video games and reading comics as her hobby rather than shopping and typical girlish things. But that doesn't mean she dislikes cute things, evidence being her bed full of stuffed animals...

The school is not too far from her home so she goes there using Inline skates.

Additional Information:
- Hotaru's family has 3 cats and the twins are pestering their parents into getting another one.
- As soon as someone is older than her she's usually more polite and calls people by their last name with honorifics like san or senpai (depending on the person of course).
- If she likes a person she tends to be generous or invites them into the family restaurant for free.
- She loves to go to karaoke even though she can't sing that well.
- Her mom likes to dress her and her sisters up in cute clothes
- Hotaru's father is rather small with only about 170cm
- Whenever she has free time and not playing volleyball she's seen playing the piano
- Hotaru prefers rock and pop music but doesn't really dislike any genre
- She's bad with fashion, that's why her sisters have to help her pick clothes
- In school she's good at English, Art and Science but exceptionally bad with History, Japanese literature, Computer science and Geography
